A quarter century ago, on Sunday, October 16, 1982 a small group who became our Founders met to forge a liberal spiritual community in the Midcoast Maine area. On June 11, 1983 the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (MUUF) was formally incorporated as an independent church.
From that modest beginning, we have grown from the original 25 founders to 75 members. MUUF has met every Sunday in the old Edgecomb Town Hall meeting house. The Fellowship engaged Reverend Katharine “Kitsy” Winthrop as its part-time minister consultant in 1998. She completed ten years with MUUF in 2008. Our Interim Minister Search Committee is the process of locating an interim minister.
As a fellowship of Unitarian Universalists we covenant to affirm and promote the principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).
